My Story
Firstly thank you for visiting our page, Secondly thank you for that BIG donation in advance Short and sweet, Pops and I have decided to run for cancer research. It’s not the first time I’ve ran for cancer research as it’s the one that’s most personal to me after losing people close to me. So April 2019 it was updated with the latest revision of estimates for the year 2017. Every sixth death in the world is due to cancer, making it the second leading cause of death (second only to cardiovascular diseases). In 2017, 9.6 million people are estimated to have died from the various forms of cancer; my aim is to simply get these figures lower. For my first run, I was running for family that I have lost (still we be) but after this year I can also run for family that have been diagnosed and have thankfully been given the all clear after treatment and are now on remission, and I hope with the research going on for cancer that we hear a lot more people recovering. How little or big the donation it will help! Also you can’t forget that we will be attempting this run in fancy dress, still to be confirmed. Although Dad’s is looking like Mr. Potato head
