My Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page! My mum suffered from breast cancer when I was a 6 years old kid. She was courageous enough to defeat the disease, see me growing up and help me be the woman I'm today. As a scientist, I'm working on the development of a new generation of chemotherapies, which are more effective but less aggressive than the current ones. This project is called THERACAT and is part of the EU Marie Sklosowska-Curie Actions, with whom Cancer Research UK collaborates. Contributing to the development of improved cancer therapies with my professional and technical expertise is important; however, it is equally important to contribute to this objective from a social perspective, encouraging everybody to be part of it. I love running during my free time and doing these 10K is an alternative way to further support cancer research.
