Adele's Race for Life

After what my family have been through this last 12 past months, I feel it’s only fair to do my bit for Cancer Research. Not many people know this however in 2018 my mum thankfully managed to win the battle with Skin Cancer on her face. It was a long & slow process however with the help of the doctors & nurses my mum was eventually signed off all clear. Recently I lost the most amazing & most important woman in the world 😞 My grandma ♥️ I idolised this woman, she is the reason I am who I am today. I adored her and I will forever be greatful for all she taught me. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to accept that she is gone 💔 My grandma had an amazing life, and if it wasn’t for a tumour that was recently found in her bowel, which unfortunately was the cause of a blood clot in her leg, then she would have had many more happy years left in her. Including celebrating her 80th Birthday in just 3 months time which she was really looking forward too. After the surgeons operated on my grandmas bowel she was then taken into intensive care to recover. Unfortunately there was no sign of recovery as in the next upcoming 5 days my poor grandma then went on to have septicaemia, kidney failure, pneumonia & a heart attack 😞 It was only when my grandma passed away that we were then told that the cause of her death was a blood clot in her leg that had travelled to her lung and killed her instantly 😞 The cause of this blood clot came from the tumour in her bowel which we only found out about a week earlier 😞 We had no time to prepare for this 💔 If my mum would have also lost her battle then I would have been without a Mum & a Grandma in the space of 12 months. I can’t even begin to imagine how I would have coped with that 💔 I used to love taking part in the Race for Life, I have so many medals and always tried to beat my time each year. Well I’m not even attempting to run this one....2 broken ankles and a daughter later, it’s safe to say that my running days are well & truly over 🙈 But with the help of Sienna, we are both going to be doing our bit for Cancer research whether we run, walk or skip .....we’re doing it 💪🏼 and we would both really appreciate it if you could sponsor us 💗
