My Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Giving Page. On Monday 7th July 2025 I will be climbing Ben Nevis via CMD Arête to help raise money for Caner Research Uk. Donating to this page will help to raise funds for essential research, diagnosis, life-saving cancer treatment, and much more. In December 2020 my Mam was diagnosed with breast cancer. After undergoing treatment, thankfully she is now in good health. The statistic of 1 in 2 people being diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime is shocking. Due to this, I want to play my part and raise money to help tackle such a horrible disease that affects so many people. As this has been planned during the week of my birthday, I would be grateful if people can donate to this page rather than buying any cards / gifts. Any donations are massively appreciated no matter how big or small! —————————————————————— Ben Nevis via the Càrn Mòr Dearg (CMD) Arête. Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the UK and the last of the three peaks I am yet to climb. The CMD arête is a narrow and exposed ridge leading to the summit of Ben Nevis, offering a grade 1 scramble and views to the North face. The average estimated time to complete the CMD Arête route is approximately 9 to 11 hours, covering 17.5km / 11 miles and an approximate 1500m ascent - considered to be a challenging hiking trail.
