I'm fundraising to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

My Story

As many of you will know a few years ago my mum was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, at one point the doctors even told us it was going to be terminal. All these years later and my mum is still with us. So for some years now I have been trying to think of a way to payback the help we were given as a family. Earlier this year I got divorced and my ex-wife is refusing to put our old life insurance policy in trust for our son so I need a new life insurance policy, problem is I am now a lot older and heavier than I use to be and to get a policy of my own I need to lose weight, a lot of weight. So I am going to kill two birds with one stone (or a few stones hopefully). I am going to do a sponsored weight loss, I am determined to loose weight for my own health, so I can get my own life insurance policy and give my son more financial security and help fight cancer. I am asking people to donate for every stone or pound I loose or just donate to support the fight against cancer. I have joined Slimming World who are going to weigh me independently every week, then every week I will post my weight loss and hope people will donate to Cancer Research.
