Running the Great South Run in support of David and in memory of my Auntie Nicola.
In memory of
Auntie Nicola
David was told he had Cancer in April 2018 after going for a check up for a lump in his neck. Further tests revealed he had a secondary tumour and after many operations they found and removed the primary in his throat. David then had radiotherapy for 7 weeks which was incredibly tough. Now we're waiting for further test results. Seeing him go through all this has been tough so I agreed to join David's Crew and run along too. I also agreed to train Shannen for the run. Training has been a big challenge for Shannen but over the months she has become quicker and is pushing herself further each week! Cancer research has always been a charity close to my heart. We lost my auntie Nicola at 16 years old to bone cancer, I never got to meet her. If Cancer Research had been prevalant back then it may have been different. This is why it is so important to keep fundraising and researching! I am running with Ben, Shannen and Lydia we are called 'David's Crew'! Please have a look at their fundraising pages also! Our aim is to raise £1,000 for Cancer Research, £250 each and with your generosity I know we can make that! LET'S DO THIS and let's beat Cancer sooner!!!
