My Story

Thank you for visiting my Fundraising Page. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. To raise money for Cancer Research UK I shall be taking part in my own Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge with my dog, Tobias, and currently planning to spend the nights either side camping, (Toby has never spent a night in a tent before so this will be an experience!) The Y3PC consists of taking on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in under 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This time last year I had the sad experience of an old school friend losing his fight with cancer, he was only 26years old. Now I currently have a close friend who is battling 2 types of cancer, he is only in his 30's and a loving father to his little girl. More research needs to be done and a cure needs to be found, too many lives are being cut short because of it and that needs to stop. I was originally planning to do this challenge at the end of April 2020, but obviously with the current situation that is not possible, so I am now aiming for mid September 2020.
