My Story
From the 10th of July to the 1st of October, I am going to be fundraising for Cancer Research UK! Cancer affects millions of people worldwide and statistically, 1 in 2 have the potential to get a form of the disease (there are over 200 types). That’s a shocking and scary number. During the pandemic, many potential cancer patients are being turned down and there’s a backlog of 2 million people trying to recieve treatment. I want to try help so everyone has the opportunity to be helped. The cancer survival rate has doubled in the past 40 years and we want to get the survival rate from 2 in 4 to 3 in 4 by 2034! The charity are amazing and I really hope we can, one day, live in a world without cancer.
CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
