My Story
So, in summer of 2016, I was diagnosed with Advanced Breast Cancer. I am here today, not quite whole, having had a mastectomy, which followed months of chemotherapy. I am grateful to be alive, but the chemo has long lasting side effects, that will take years to recover from and I am still recovering. I rely on family and friends and can only walk, be on my feet for about 30 - 45 minutes at a time. I'd like to raise money for research into kinder forms of cancer treatment. Luckily riding is a seated sport and my equine partner is a calm type, who has looked after me perfectly. I can't do the race for life, but we can do the Ride for life.

Developing better treatments
From testing new therapies to finding better ways of using existing therapies, our clinical trials have helped improve cancer treatment. But these treatments don’t work for everyone and can have short- and long-term side effects. With your support, we can find kinder, more effective treatments so that people can live longer, better lives.
