My Story
I am running this race in order to contribute to a cause very personal to me. Sadly my Grandad passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2016. Before and since then multiple members of my family have battled Cancer also, some sadly not making it to be here today. When I lost my Grandad so suddenly and what felt like so unfairly, I knew I had to do something to help contribute towards preventing any future families loosing someone they love. In October I started consistently training to be able to run 5k, in order to complete a race for life 5k in memory of my Grandad and to raise money for key research for cancer treatment. Having just completed my first 5K on January 3rd, I am now ready to start fundraising for this race.
