My Mother was diagnosed with Cancer of the Oesophagus in June 2020, amid the coronavirus crisis. She sadly passed away just 5 months after diagnosis. We also lost a Great Aunt to this horror a few years earlier. Previous to this, a former employer of mine was diagnosed with the same Cancer and subsequently beat it. This type of cancer has a low survival rate, so I am hoping more funding will aid in the fight against this type of Cancer.
CAUSE
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
