Worcester Pretty Muddy 5k 2019
Sat 13 Jul 2019 - Sat 13 Jul 2019
In memory of
My dad - Martyn Gough and for anyone who has fought and lost their battle with Cancer.
Cancer is such a horrible word isn't it ? It literally strikes fear into me and my family. That's because we gave seen first hand what this horrible disease can do ! My dad was the backbone to my family. He was everything a dad ought to be and more. In 2004 he was diagnosed with Cancer and within 6 months, he lost his battle .... our lives has never been the same after that. Over the years I have lost others that I loved to Cancer. I know of many whom has too ! In doing this 5k pretty muddy run for all of those we have lost to Cancer. For others whom are battling this disease and for those that is yet to have the fight of their lives. 1 in 2 people are diagnosed with Cancer in their lifetime ... That's pretty scary odds isn't it ? However, with thanks to money raised by Cancer Research and all the volunteers before me ... they have made huge progress towards understanding Cancer and better, kinder treatments. That's giving new hope ! So if you got this far in my story then .... I Thank you for your time ! If your willing to go that little extra then please make a small donation. It doesn't matter how small as every little bit, really does help ! Together we can make a difference. Thank you !
