My Story
Having gained a place in this years Great North Run I have decided to attempt to raise some funds for this fantastic charity. As many of you will know, my wonderful Mum battled (and beat) cancer back in 2012. Many, many people aren’t so lucky! 1 in 3 people are affected by cancer in the UK. Although my fundraising will only be a drop in the ocean I hope that the pounds raised will help, in a very small way to enable Cancer Research to continue with their great work! So dig deep people. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
