To honour the memory of the valued team members we have lost to cancer.

My Story

Thank you for visiting the A14 team's page. Very sadly in the last 12 months, two valued members of our project team have died from cancer. To honour their memories, we’re organising a charity ‘Welly Walk’ on Sunday 9th September 2018, raising money for Cancer Research UK. The walk will follow the new A14 route between A1198, Ermine Street and Swavesey Junction. This is a unique opportunity for members of the public to explore 10 km of what will eventually be the new road carrying traffic between Cambridge and Huntingdon. The money raised will help to fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
