My Story
This September, I’m taking part in Cancer Research UK’s Sweatember 💦 I will exercise every day of the month to raise money for CRUK - which sounds crazy because I don’t like exercising AT ALL. Why did I decide to do this? There are a few reasons behind my decision. Firstly, I’ve been volunteering for CRUK for some months now, and I think it’s a great charity. Secondly, I’m one of those people who had relatives and friends suffering from the horrible disease that is cancer. I’m scared of it and I often go for checks. Lastly, I’ve spent the last year being REALLY unhealthy. This was due to financial and personal reasons. Although there wasn’t much I could do in that situation, not going to the gym, pursuing pole fitness and eating well made me miserable. And unfit. This didn’t help my self-esteem (which is usually pretty low) and I think it also contributed to make my skin go crazy for months and my health quite poor. Now that I have a new stable job in the city where I live, I have more time (and money) to spend on my wellbeing. Why not starting being more serious about fitness and exercising than by doing that for charity? ✨
