Shantanu's Run to Raise 2026

My Story

Cancer has touched the lives of many people I love. Like many of you, I've watched loved ones face this disease with incredible courage, and I've seen firsthand the difference that research and support can make. That's why I'm raising money for Cancer Research UK, specifically for brain cancer research. For every £5 donated, I’ll add the distance of one half marathon (21.1 km) to my total running distance for the year, up to a maximum of 1,000 km in 2026. This distance will be completed gradually across my regular runs. This is no small feat for me. I’m not a seasoned runner and only recently took up running. The thought of covering 1,000 kilometres this year is both daunting and deeply motivating. Every kilometre will be a challenge, but knowing that each one represents someone’s generosity in the fight against cancer makes every step worthwhile.
