My Story
What an amazing response so far. Thank you everyone for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. I’m overwhelmed by all your love and support. Following my 'Walk all over Cancer' challenge back in 2021, I have planned a further challenge this year in memory of my beloved husband Andrew. My strap-line is '60k for my 60th' - the k represents £ not kilometers! This year will mark 5 years since Andrew's untimely death from cancer and as I celebrate my 60th year in various forms with all my fantastic friends and family, along with the parties and fun, I want to give something back and so aim to raise, through various events and challenges, as much money as I can for Cancer Research over the next 12 months. There are so many fantastic charities and organisations out there but as I said in my previous story, I strongly believe in trying to beat any disease at source hence my emphasis towards research. Events are gathering momentum with the 24hour golf marathon taking place this weekend (25/26 July). I have been overwhelmed by the support and commitment from my 3 teams taking part - thank you so much, it looks set to be a pretty crazy event, tiring but hopefully lots of fun. The Barn Dance is set for Friday 19th September with Hog Roast / Pizza van. Another big thank you to Waterside Country Barn for so generously sponsoring this event.
