My Story
I've decided to try and complete the National 3 Peaks challenge, but as many of you know, I've already done that a few times, so this time I'm going BIG!!! The British Army hold the record for completing the 3 peaks challenge, 3 times consecutively in a time of 69 hours and 33 mins. Yep...I'm going to try and beat that! This will involve climbing the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales, 3 times over. That's an ascent of 9192 metres (Everest is only 8848 metres) and a distance of 69 miles. To be able to beat this challenge, I am going to have to do my personal best times on all 3 mountains. To give you an idea of how difficult that is, my current personal best times happened when I completed the 3 peaks back in 2018: Ben Nevis: 3 Hours 5 mins Scafell Pike: 2 hours 20 mins Snowdon: 2 hours 13 mins Anyone who has done just 1 National 3 Peaks knows it is no easy ride, so please donate as this is a challenge like no other and all the money helps Cancer research. The plan is to train for a year and complete in June 2021 Help me Stand up to Cancer
