My Story
I've been raising money for Cancer Research since 2021, and I'm so grateful for the support from everyone to raise over £12,000 to date for this incredible cause. We all know someone who has been impacted by cancer, either directly or indirectly. We have all seen the damage it causes and lives it takes. This really struck me when a work colleague lost their battle to cancer. A lovely lady full of life was taken far to young. I worked with my team to raise over £5,000 in her memory, and then wanted to match this myself, so ran 11 marathons in 11 days to achieve this. With the cost of living going up it is so hard for everyone, but Cancer has not gone away, so every little helps. So I am still here, thinking of ways to raise money for this cause. This year I am to run at least 26 marathons in 52 weeks, which is an average of 1 marathon every 2 weeks. I like running, but this won't be easy, and I hope that along the way we can raise as much money together for Cancer Research. I am also up for challenge ideas, so if you want to make a marathon harder and prepared to help me raise as much as possible then I would love to hear your ideas.
