My Story
In October 2015, I was diagnosed with bowel cancer, and it turned my world upside down. Thanks to incredible treatment and research — much of it driven by Cancer Research UK — I got through it but friends and family haven’t been as fortunate. My connection to the charity is personal in another way too. My Nan spent over 50 years of her life volunteering for Cancer Research UK, giving her time and energy to help others. I’m proud to follow in her footsteps. Nearly 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime* which is why we're raising money for Cancer Research UK’s life-changing work. Every donation makes a difference, so please donate today and help to power pioneering research. Together we are beating cancer. * cruk.org/lifetimerisk If you would like to support me and you're able to claim Gift Aid on your donation please do - unless you are a close family member. CRUK is working on offering its marathon runners exciting rewards this year as a thank you for their fundraising success, and this might mean that Gift Aid cannot be claimed by my close family members.

All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
