My Story
Having both been widowed at the age of 52, due to our spouses dying from cancer, we recognise the importance of CRUK’s work and want to save other families from having to go through this devastating experience. We are cycling from the northernmost Cancer Research UK centre in England (Newcastle) to the southernmost centre (Southampton) to fundraise and increase awareness of the geographical coverage of CRUK as well as the fact that CRUK research into all different types of cancer (more than 200).
CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
