Hello All! I'm fundraising for a charity which has become close to my heart. My mum was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma last year. A heartbreaking diagnosis for any family with some uncertain time ahead. No known cure left us reliant on past research which has developed revolutionary immunotherapy treatment. This treatment my mum has started and is so far proving to be successful. It would be wonderful if one day there was a cure for this illness. Some of my bigger events I'm embarking on this year include a 100k walk through the night this weekend, multiple marathons, Lakesman iron distance triathlon. Half Outlaw and the Great North Run. Most of my friends and family know about my recently found passion for sport so I couldn't think of a better way to raise money for such a worthwhile cause. Around 37 people in the UK are told they have malignant melanoma (the most serious form of skin cancer) every day. Over the last decade malignant melanoma incidence rates have increased by around a half (49%) in the UK. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to treat skin cancer.
