My Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m fundraising right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. It started in lockdown, I needed a challenge, I have been a bit late in my fund raising (Captain Tom took all the limelight) I have always wanted to walk from Lands End to John o Groats (lejog) ( family and work prohibits this) so when lockdown came and we were restricted to local exercise only I set off (only one hour per day at the start) this increased to around 60 miles a week in the second half. I completed the 874 (virtual) miles on consecutive days but didn’t do any structured fundraising sorry, i am now extending my walk to complete 1000 miles for £1000 and try and play catch-up with raising as much as I can, I have currently covered nearly 900 miles so not far to go now. Thank you, Ray (tomorrow 26th July 2020 I am driving to John O Groats for a picture at the finish of lejog). Update on Monday 27th July 2020 I visited John O Groats to finish this part of my challenge, now on to the 1000 miles. Update 13/08/20 now reached 990 miles so will reach my 1000miles tomorrow yay, let’s have a final push to raise as much as we can, Thank you to all the kind friends and family who have given so far 😁
