My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. In the last 50 years, Cancer Research UK’s work has helped double cancer survival in the UK. But we need to go further, faster. Donate today to help bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer. In loving memory of my mum, who fought so bravely against ovarian cancer and sadly lost her fight in July 2026. Throughout her journey, she faced everything with incredible courage, strength and determination. She wanted to fight this illness in her own way, on her own terms, making the choices that felt right for her. Even during the hardest moments, she remained true to herself. Her battle was not simply about cancer. It was a testament to the woman she was: strong, independent, courageous and deeply loved. Although her fight came to an end, the love she gave, the memories she created and the strength she showed will remain with us forever. In her memory, I’m taking on a challenge of 100 push ups every day. It might not seem like much to some, but for me it’s about commitment, perseverance and pushing myself a little further each day. I’ll start by splitting the 100 push ups into smaller sets, with the goal of building up my strength until one day I can complete all 100 in one go. Every push up will be a reminder to keep going when things get difficult and to find that little bit of extra strength, just as my mum did throughout her fight. I will always remember her not for the illness that took her from us, but for the life she lived, the person she was and the courage with which she faced the unimaginable. This challenge is for you, Mum. Forever loved, forever missed and never forgotten. ❤️
