My Story
In December many of our members of staff took part in a 5K run in aid of Cancer Research. This June it will be the turn of our pupils to lace up their running shoes (and put on their Super Hero costumes) and take on the Schools Race for Life! Throughout the day on Thursday 22nd June all 840 children (any many of their teachers) will spend the day making their way around the running track set up within the school. We are encouraging Parents/Carers, family members and friends to sponsor the children per each of the laps that they complete during their 45 minute slot. Or please feel free to make a one off donation! Cancer Research is a charity that lots of our St Matthew’s staff, families and community have been supported by. This is the reason why we have chosen to again raise money for such a much needed charity. Cancer is happening right now, which is why we're taking part in a Race for Life Schools to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor us now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
