Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 22 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime and unfortunately, my nanny lost that fight last year. Being a Biologist and researcher, i am all to aware of the effect that disease has on individuals and their families. After an incredibly short fight, I lost my nanny all too quickly and I hope that research can bring about better understanding and treatment.
